STORY TIME: Those of you who were subscribed to the premium edition for the October issue know we ran a page about two comets coming through, Comet Lemmon and Comet ATLAS. That page happened thanks to Jeremy Beachy calling and asking if maps for those two comets would be in the magazine.

I had not had the comets as high on my radar as I should have. I was about to send the October issue to the printer. The magazine was full, but I had one page in the premium edition to design yet. I plugged in the comet maps as a heads-up for those of you who are subscribed to that edition. All of us who enjoy comets and benefited from that page last month have Jeremy to thank for the info. Now, here is one of his photographs.

The day after I sent the magazine to the printer, yet a third comet was discovered, and it was upon us—Comet SWAN. It had been behind the sun and not discovered until it popped out. So, unfortunately, that one came and went under the radar altogether. I couldn’t get that announcement out to you.

We invite you readers who have suggestions for content, as Jeremy did, to please share your thoughts with us. If it is time sensitive like his, call 540-867-0764. Don’t wait on slow mail. We design magazines weeks before you read them and want tips as early as we can.
