We’ll Face Life Together

It’s snowing, it’s snowing! I wish I could render
How snowflakes come whirling in all of their splendor.
And oh, in the snowing, and oh, in the blowing—
Come see how the wind and the snow are out showing
Just how to have fun-times of hiding-and-seeking—
I’m sure they do plenty of laughing and peeking!

I’ve told you but half of this declaratory;
I just cannot wait to tell more of the story.
A flock of Snow Buntings, all busy and bustling
And chirping and cheerful and happily hustling—
They found sunflower feastings spread out on the snow pile;
Just watch the group feeding in fluttering freestyle!

I’ve watched and admired these pillows of downy,
With softest brown mufflers ‘round face and their crownie.
Then in one grand motion, they cannot be staying,
Like snowflakes aflutter, now elsewhere they’re playing.
Through sunshiny days, or if stormy the weather,
Their motto remaining, “We’ll face life together!”
