Summertime

Blazing sunshine, dried up grass,
Shadows fall, clouds go past.
Peaceful cows chew their cud,
Pigs keep cool in the mud.
Swimming tank and watersnakes,
This will joy and humor make.
Bluest sky and starfilled nights,
The moon is big and very bright.
Hay windrows and cold sweet tea,
Ice cream cones and a good AC.
Crickets pounding out a tune,
Melons busted by a coon.
Summer’s lovely and such fun.
My favorite season is this one.
I’m glad God chose to make this season,
I really like it: that’s my reason.
