The Futile Pursuit

A wildcat is hunting,
She goes out to prowl.
Thoughts of Indigo Bunting,
Make her stomach growl.
Our feline friend continues,
And as she stalks along,
She contemplates her menu,
Among the grasses long.
Aha! There is a rustle!
Could it be her dinner?
And not moving a muscle,
She awaits a glimmer.
Hoho! It is a rabbit!
And as it shows its face,
Miss Cat leaps out to grab it,
But the rabbit flees in haste.
