My Chosen Spot

Do you remember last year’s Water Workshop contest? We want this one to be similar to that one, but this time your chosen spot can, but might not, include water. (Examples: Field, forest, pond, park, yard, garden, bird nest, etc.)

Enjoy your spot as many times as you wish for one week. Then prepare a magazine submission using your favorite tools. Artists, tell us your story and paint a scene. Photographers, tell us your story and illustrate with photos. Writers, tell us your story (poem, puzzle, etc.) even if you don’t have photos or art to go along with it.

Who may submit: The household of active subscribers, any age.

Photos/scans: We require high resolution (300 dpi) digital photos/art scans.

Deadline: Send your submissions by October 15, 2023.

Label all submissions with your subscriber number (See mailing label). Include your name, address, and phone number. Also put your name on USB drives and in photo file names. A self-addressed, stamped envelope (SASE) plus $2 required if return is requested.

Awards:
Grand prize: 1, $400 certificate, or choose a 6″ Classic Dobsonian telescope.
First prize: 1, $300 certificate, or choose an Alpen Apex 10×42 or 10×50 binocular.
Second prize: 1, $200 certificate, or choose a Vortex Diamondback 8×42 or 10×42 binocular.
Third prize: 1, $100 certificate, or choose a Vortex Crossfire 8×42 or 10×42 binocular.
