October 7 is peak night of the Draconids meteor shower. However, between this shower only producing about ten meteors an hour and the glare of the full moon, this shower will disappoint.
October 10 Pleiades will be less than 1° south of the moon.
October 21, early in the morning, is peak of the Orionid meteor shower. This is also the night of new moon. So with the absence of moonlight, this meteor shower should be a fun show to watch. The overall duration is from September 26 to November 22. This meteor shower is known for fast, bright meteors. You may see meteor trails and fireballs. Expect 10-20 meteors per hour.
October 29 Mercury will be at its greatest eastern elongation. This means that in the evening sky just after sunset, Mercury will be as high in the sky as it will get. This will be the best time to view it.
